Yes the original owners are getting the park back, they have been taken on a wild goose chase and apologise to the public, it not their fault this has happened. And yes Crofters are being investigated for fraud.

bruggz351 23-07-2016 08:17 PM

True???
This is exciting...
I feel for the people ripped off by Crofters.. but it sounded weird to me from the start.

I'm a dubious about the "Kidman Buyback" scheme going round at the moment, too...

SeaComms 24-07-2016 08:54 PM

Wow, I knew they sounded a bit sus but never expected a full turn around.

Any more info? Cant find anything on Google and the LCMP website has no updates, and the facebook link doesn't want to work for me!

I strongly suggest checking your facts first before jumping on any band wagon.

People should probably check with Crofters or leasee's of Crofts for the cold hard facts before running their mouth off after only hearing a rumour. That's all I'm saying.

You mean Jimmy?

If you know better, then you probably should say it to dispel rumours.

What's the point of having a Rumour Mill section on the forum if you can't put a rumour in it anyway:?::!::!:

Lol! :D

True!

Crofters is not Closing.

LCMP is not re-opening.

Continual actions by people to discredit the new owners through FB rumours.

This is confirmed by both the Owner of Crofters and the current onsite live in Maintenance couple.

Hopefully they have taken advice and will be undertaking legal action.

Its far to easy these days for people to use FB as a means of attack using anything that can be made up, stretched or misconstrued. Say it long enough and loud enough and it becomes so close to accepted truth. But not the actual truth.

Looks like reopening is going to be the 30th Sept.

Care to comment Dave? It is very confusing for us here.

I've never been to neither LCMP nor Crofters but would like to go up there in a couple of years and have a play..

Why not rename the whole thing again: Jeep Park. :)

Wonder what will happen to those who had paid thousands??

Mace1 24-08-2016 09:16 AM

From another site Im on:

There was never a sale, he had only leased the property form the Perret's, then the council got wind of the sale of land ( AKA crofts ) and said we want more rates form the owners. Between now and when it opens again there is a lot of work to be done as some of the amenities need some work, But i don't know if that was from before crofters time.

Again only what i have been told by very close friends of the Perrets

I do feel for the people who have bought a Croft though

Mace1 24-08-2016 09:27 AM

Not looking good for them.

SeaComms 24-08-2016 12:04 PM

Seems the rumours may have been true after all? Who would'a thunk it...

Hope this is true, so many people wouldn't do the "rental" thing & it was a pity to see it go. We took our kids there at least once a year from 01, they grew up around 4b's & camping there.

SeaComms 25-08-2016 12:44 PM

Its on the LCMP website front page so I would take that as gospel.

So Crofters arranged to lease the land and sell "lifetime" leases to people?
The "Crofters" web page is sort of saying they are trying to work through this and to please be patient. Otherwise, leave us alone for a while. I always thought this whole scenario sounded suspect. I feel for those who have been led on and paid money.
