Welsh Plug Hi All
I'm new here, I've been looking for some advice in replacing a Welsh plug in the head of my KJ v6 https://i.ibb.co/thPS1gn/Welsh-plug.jpg The first question is does anyone know the part number for it? Next question, has anyone replace it with the motor\head still in the car? And how hard was it? Cheers Dav0 |
02 parts list shows it as 4556020 PLUG, Core, 1.25 Diameter, Water Jacket Core

I have replaced a few over the years in various cars.
You can get them at most auto parts places. Go for brass. You need good access to the plug. Cleaning the hole is important. I use plenty of silicone around the hole to seal the new one. You may wish to improve your coolant choice. |
