I dont think they are normal Bosch numbers though. Bosch symbol Spain 900 971 6 033 ADO 044 A 10 Any one know the actual Bosch number? Ans = 6 033 ADO 044 other (Bosch ) numbers 1006209524 9003336280 Was used in several other cars ~ BMW, Renault, Bedford & others. Update; After fixing the over-run clutch, it is starting to fail again. I think it needs re-bushing, too much like hard work. Have sourced one from Autospark in Greece. Its about $30 delivered. They appear to be well stocked for hard to get electrical components. 0573 - ZEN Starter Drive BOSCH 9 teeth OPEL Omega DSL Replaces GHIBAUDI MARIO GB 1594 Replaces : BOSCH 1006209524 1006384642 6033AD0044 9002336209 9003336280 Application to Starters : BOSCH 0001218009 0001218011 0001218026 0001218027 0001218028 0001218122 0001218135 0001218136 0001218177 Application to vehicles : AGRIFULL, BEDFORD, BMW, CHRYSLER, FERRARI (M.A.), FIAT, GOLDONI, JEEP, OPEL, VAUXHALL The solenoid is 0331 303 048 Mine has 548 after that number. |

Crank Position Sensor -- '99 XJ TD 2 Attachment(s)
Hi All,
Heads up that the part number for a CPS for the '99XJ is: 56027963 If I pump this into google, i get various European sites such as: http://www.jeep-stock.com/1664-capte...aut-p0320.html All the numbers printed on the CPS are (refer attached image): 56027963 0347 Jeep dealership closed (weekend) so have no idea of cost. - Called around and the only business to be open that I called told me that no aftermarket part listed, so must be from the dealership. Please note that this is not the same as the 4.0Ltr CPS (I ordered a cheapie off Ebay to test). I read the earlier parts manual, posted by MM -- http://oskin.msk.ru/pub/chrysler-dod...97-01/99X1.pdf -- and it told me (I prolly read it wrong ;) that they were indeed the same.. - They are not) Cheers. |
Rear main seal Rear main seal
After being told by many that this seal is unique, I did a little research. The engines in jeeps use the standard black rubber seal. When the motor is used in other cars, they used a viton seal. The original seal is 110 id, 130 od & 13 thick. (thanks Mudmonster) The problem is this is not a standard size. After investigation, I found that 110 130 12 is a standard size. it has the dust excluder as well as the main seal ring. The 1 mm thinner seal will make little or no difference to the operation of the seal. The viton version is stocked in Australia, there were 12 in Brisbane today showing on my bearing guys computer. There is one on its way down south to me now. You should be able to get one for around $70 depending on how much discount your local guy offers you. |
Brakes The rear brakes on my jeep are 9" drums.
The wheel cylinders are 3/4" & take standard 3/4" cup type seals. As they are cast iron, they can normally be honed, I used my Aldi imitation dremil with a drum emery sander attachment. Easy as!! the shoes are bendix BS 1715 or Protex N3133 . You will probably find some local brake places stock them. |

I drained my oil yesterday & then discovered i didnt have a filter. Tried a couple of places today & they didnt have one (Sunday). Went to Repco, they had the RycoZ596 , but for about $6 less they had their own brand ~ ROF88 . It looks the same & feels like it weighs the same. The guy told me they use the filter in a Mazda Tribute & a couple of other cars. So there is a cheaper alternate to Ryco, just not as cheap as a Z9. |
