US Class action against FCA - Found guilty of cheating on emissions tests

Does anyone know anything about an Australian class action against FCA for cheating on emissions laws. They have been found guilty in the US and have to pay millions in fines which include payments to owners of 2014, 2015 and 2016 JGC diesel models. Here is the link to one of the articles dated 10 Jan 2018.

I found this Law Firm advertising for JGC owners to join, but doesn't seem to work unless you phone them.

i've got better things to do with my time . just because they are found guilty in the us doesn't automatically mean we can take em to the cleaners . things are very different over in the us . Has there ever been a class action against any car manufacturer in aus ?

We dont even get the extended warranties when they hand them out due to premature engine failures.

The GC diesels in the US use a different emissions system, we don't have DEF here. And we don't have the same regulations here that were broken in the US. So it looks to be a bit of a waste of time. Especially since our emissions regulations are so loose you can drive a soot pumping truck through them.
