WCM and column lock module troubles Hi all,
I have a possible problem with WCM or steering lock module. I have tried the steering lock emulator with no luck so I am assuming it must be the WCM playing up. I have the lights on dash but no crank, bypass relay and engine cranks but does not start. I am getting a stored code B2254 Column Lock Module Internal. My question is this a dealership repair only or can I program a secondhand WCM to my VIN with the correct program like jscan or appcar or can I purchase a new WCM (if available) and program myself. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers |
DiagFCA has a section on programming a new WCM. Not done it though but saw it there.
You can see it mentioned under supported modules. https://appcar-diagfca.com/en/suppor...rand-cherokee/ |
Hi.
Not a cheap option but a company in Texas offers a win module and two fobik keys matched to your vin number. Not sure if it is of interest to you. http://www.autotechelectronic.com/wi...-remote-start/ |
Thanks, guys for the info. Looks like I am in for a tow to the nearest dealership.
Had a look around on the internet but no luck with WCM new or secondhand and I am assuming it may be the same at a dealership. |
Might pay to check this wrecking yard and see if they have earlier as well.

Could anyone confirm if the 2006 commander column lock and ignition would be the same as the 2007 grand Cherokee.
Cheers |
