Mudmonster & Layback40 Helpness please

Or any other XJ diesel owners.

I'm looking at an XJ diesel. What are the things to look for with the VM???

The ad states it 'did run' but flat battery. and has possible immobiliser or key fault as it will start but only run for 3 seconds.

cheers

Get some more information on key fault. It may be an electrical issue like I experienced and not tied to the key at all

What year? it makes a big difference with the immobilizer. My 98 needs the fob to be activated to get it to stay running. The later one doesnt.
Does the yellow immobilizer light stay on?
MM is a lot closer to you.
If you want to talk about it PM or email me & I will give you my number.

They are a good car for a P plater. If the #1 injector sensor is not connected it is very difficult to go over 100km/hr.
