Steel wheels for a JK

I’ve been thinking about whether I should get 16” steel wheels when I get my next set of tyres. Currently I have the stock 17” alloys. I know Procomp sell the steel wheels and I was quoted around $110-120 per wheel for the 16” version. Funny thing is from the quotes I got on Pro Comp mud terrains, by moving from 265/70 R17 to 265/75 R16 it almost pays for the rims!

So I was just wondering if any of you know of any other steel wheel (16”) options that exist out there, or is the Procomp deal about as good as it gets? Also, is the difference in cost between 16” vs 17” tyres that I was quoted likely to occur over all tyre brands? Its mighty tempting to go to 16” wheels if it is. The wheels would more than pay for themselves after just 2 new sets of tyres!

I'd be going the 16" - lot's more flexibility when it comes to tyres.

Prices are good too - JeepKonection have steelies for the JK starting at $125 for 16x7

Thanks for the replies guys. I was just having a look on 4wd.com and they have some extremely good prices on steel wheels. Is there a catch i'm not seeing? Crazy freight costs?
But yeah, i'm definitely thinking that 16" steelies could be the go.
