[SOLVED] Serpentine belt keeps popping off when turning at low speeds

SOLVED

Gday!!
My 2014 JK's serpentine belt keeps popping off when turning at low speeds, for instance if I stop then turn the wheel as I take off or full turn one way to the other and apply a bit of power it will jump off. It has only started to happen since I replaced the engine loom, the water pump, 2 idle pulleys, power steering pump (wasnt the culprit I thought it was) and tensioner. All mopar parts with the belt being a gates (tried 2 brand new ones too) It has popped off the power steering pump and passenger idle pulley only. The steering feels a little stiff when turning but that could be the 34s i put on 2 weeks prior (and had no issues with old belt assembly) It idles straight and pulleys align so I am mentally spent on the problem. Any thoughts as to what could possibly be causing the unusual turn of events?
Thanks in advance. Andy

A simple check would be to have some one in the car turn the wheel lock to lock while you keep an eye on whats happening under the bonnet...no point looking after its happened or before its happened...something is obviously either 'ceasing' causing the belt to jump off... or moving out of alignment causing the belt to jump off....while simply idling the belt will run true...no force/drain on anything requiring the supplied power...it will be simple....just a matter of narrowing it down....will take two people...maybe three (a second set of eyes under the bonnet) to narrow it down...GOOD LUCK....NOT A JEEP THING

I am no expert but...

Are u sure that u have threaded the serpentine belt properly?
Are ribs where/how they are supposed to be etc?
Have you adjusted the belt tensioner properly?
Are all nuts and bolts tightened properly?
Have you got oil or grease on the belt?

This sounds like a tension/threading problem to me but as I say I am no expert. I have replaced 3 serpentine belts (mostly for preventative maintenance) and have never had this problem. Mopar and Gates belts all have worked fine for me - 80000 - 100000km
for them no problems.

I can't see how turning the steering wheel will have an impact on the serpentine belt: it isn't connected to it. Higher revs from engine may be causing the belt to come off cos not positioned/tensioned properly.

There are several YouTube videos that are very good for showing how to change serpentine belt. You should b able to find diagrams of belt positioning on Google somewhere. If not go to Morris 4x4, type in Parts diagram JK Wrangler and look for cooling system diagram that will show correct threading for belt. The JK manual will also show picture. I keep a photo of belt on my phone so that I know how it is correctly "threaded", in case one comes off when I am out bush.

Thanks for your replies fellas!
I tried using my phone to capture it and sort of did, It keeps popping off the passenger idler pulley. I have quadripple checked everything, I have decided to get a mechanic to have a look at it next week as I am no expert either unfortunately.

Can you take some pics of how the belt sits on the engine & post it up on here so we can have a look ?

I dont have a 3rd party image account and its a bit hard to see the belt but be rest assured it is right for position in and around the different pulleys. I will see what the mechanic has to say tomorrow. Im absolutely baffled
Cheers

So has the mechanic looked at it and what was the decision please?
