2 Attachment(s)
I've got to get one made up

has any one got pics of custom tops
doesn't have to be cj6 just want ideas

I want to have it come off the front rollbar hoop so I can still fold the windscreen down, and it's got to shade the back seats too!

rollbar set up as per pics

cheers

hey mike, must be a popular blue that one coz my cj6 is the same,i like that cage, did you build it? looks practical without being too complicated-might have to hit you up for dimensions, lengths, thicknesses ect. cant help you with the bikini top though.

Yo Bobcat
it's all my own work will send you some dims... just don't hold your breath

Gildo I'll go local with this, I think it may need some trial fitting;)

but some ideas,
should I use press studs on the front roll bar hoop, or muck around trying to get bestop tracks
how wide should the straps be, full on seat belt width or an inch wide
what's a good way of tensioning etc
someone must have done it before

If you can get hold of a windscreen channel for a std Bestop roof it will be the neatest fit you get. with a presstud each side, then 1 inch webbing for back end straps is plenty, velcro straps around the in between bars will keep the flapping to a minimum.
Spend some $ and get a CJ7 top, use that as a "pattern" have your own custom one made then sell the one that dont fit.
