TJ: 2006 Project Wrangler Hey guys,
Have previously had a nicely built 2006 TJ and when my Mum passed away inherited her stock as a rock 2006 TJ that was purchased new at the same time as my previous TJ. Had it in my possession now for quite a few years now and after going through the decision-making process of whether to sell and get a newer Wrangler made the decision to modify and rebuild the TJ, just because. I'm not aiming for the ultimate rock crawler, just a well rounded, more up to date all-rounder built with quality parts that I can use as my daily. Have been putting out episodes of the build on YouTube for the last 12 months. Heres the latest. |
With the Summer temperature hitting 40deg in Sydney lately, figured it was time for a bit of shade when the Bestop is folded back.

Found a solution to the worn bushings on the front seats.
Bought a pack of Dynamat and installed it to the front footwells and rear floor. Worked a treat and is a lot quieter inside already.
After not having the Air conditioning working for ages, purchased the LHD parts from Rockauto. New condenser and Compressor.
Sourced a recovered Cherokee WJ Steering wheel to replace my tatty OEM one.
I've purchased an Australian Military No. 5 Trailer to convert into an Overlanding setup. Pretty chuffed with what it's like already.
