Engine stalled

Pulled up to an intersection as usual and as I came to a stop the engine just stalled. Not as quick a shutdown as the stop start system, a quick shudder then stopped. The dash flashed up 'Shift to park then desired gear'. So I did that, no change, engine still not running but no lights on the dash like it would be if ignition on and engine not running, it felt just like a normal stop start event except the @ light was not on. After fluffing around for a few seconds I went back to park and hit the start button (that already indicated ignition was on) and it restarted normally. Back to Drive and off I went.

Never had anything like this before in 60,000km! Any one else had similar experience and did it reoccur? I am already booked in for 60k service so will mention it then too.

Must be something in the air Dave. Not the same symptoms as you're experiencing but dropped my KL in this morning because the MIL light came on yesterday and has stayed on. Drove fine this morning to the dealership but when they took it for a drive, she lost power on them twice.

They are replacing the TCM. Parts ordered and will be delivered tomorrow morning. I pick her up tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime, I have a new Compass parked in the driveway.

Update: They replaced the TCM and she's running sweet. :)
