Tyres I am looking to replace the road tyres on my WK and just after some feed back on the following: Yokohama GO12 or Nitto Tera Grapplers in 265/60R18.
Given the beast will spent most of its life on bitumen. Any info appreciated. Cheers. |
there's a huge tyre thread here:
http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...d.php?t=126826 Personally I am loving my new Pirelli Scorpion ATRs. They're a less aggressive AT tyre. By that I mean closer to a HT tyre. Suits me fine! And for $1330 fitted, balanced (for 5 tyres) and 4 wheel alignment (incl. the complex/time consuming front camber/caster) I reckon the value for money is great! Quiet, great grip wet and dry and handling improve a lot too without compromising ride. |
Agree with GlugGlug. Have the same and greet onroad. Been on sand, dirt, rock, and some mud and worked effortlessly. Recommend.

Tried to buy the Pirelli last week and was told by 3 different shops they are out of production and none in the warehouse. Ended up with the Hankook dynapro AT. Noisier than the pirelli but they handle ok both on and off road

Pirelli Scorpion ATR definitely isn't out of production. Let me guess, they told you that and then suggested something else because it was "better anyway"?

I've been tossing up between the Hankook's and Pirelli's for a while now. Love the look of the Hankook's, but obviously they are a bit noisier. |
The hankooks are LT whilst the pirelli are passenger right? Or do the pirellis come I'm LT construction as well?
