2011 JKU 2.8 CRD Intake Manifold Replacement

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to replace the intake manifold? I have a coolant leak from where the thermostat blots to the intake manifold.

I removed the thermostat housing and I noticed in the coolant outlet of the manifold the gasket had bulged was torn on the inside. I need to remove the intake manifold and replace the gasket but for the life of me I really cant figure out on my own how to properly do it.

Where I live there are no CRD jeeps nor CRD mechanics so I am on my own.

Any assistance would be really appreciated.

Send your email to George @ https://www.vmdieselspecialist.com/

here in the North of England he 'may' give you an indication of what to do.

Incase anyone is interested I found a Korean Website that has some pictures that shows the removal can be done with the engine in the vehicle.

Good info
Are Koreans LHD or RHD like ours ?
As the engine bay is different to my 2007 RHD
Battery & brake booster / reservoir are on opposite sides to mine.
I guess you didn't get any joy from George at VM specialists ?

Mine is a LHD version just like the one pictured from Korea. Most things in the engine bay are flipped.

My problem was how to access the EGR manifold and the pictures showed me it was possible to do without removing or tilting the engine.

I didn't manage to get a reply from VM specialist
