sticking clutch?

Maybe i'm losing it but clutch doesn't feel like it's disengaging cleanly anymore, seems like it's stuck for half a second after I have the pedal fully depressed. But how can this be? Maybe it is not fully disengaging at all? Mud?

When the clutch on my Chrysler Galant wore out, it warped & would not release completely.

Although it could be some contamination that is causing the clutch plate to stick to the flywheel.

Just guesses.

Contamination wouldn't surprise, I have occasionally operated it / shifted through big mud, don't really do any water but supposedly it would ingress so maybe the mud could as well. Got a service in a couple of weeks will see if the garage has an opinion on the operation, hopefully at least I can delay a replacement
