How Test Driving a Wrangler I live in Adelaide and am considering buying a 4-Door Wrangler from interstate but have not been able to actually test drive one. I'm pretty confident that what I want is a 4-Door Wrangler but every where I've read says go and take one for a drive before you open you wallet, but I can't find a way to actually do this. I've expressed interest both at "Adelaide City Chrysler Jeep Dodge" and "Adrian Brien Automotive", and even booked and went in to Adrian Brien with the expectation of taking a Wrangler for a test drive only to discover they were very reluctant for me to do so. Turns out they only have bran new 4-Doors there and will only let me 'test' one if it's essentially on the understanding of being a pre-purchase drive.
I understand there position, it's a new car and they don't want people putting miles on it unless there pretty confident there going to buy it, so I'm wanting to know if there is a commitment free way to test drive a Wrangler, even if I have to pay a 'hiring fee' to do so. |
After posting I thought this would probably be better suited in "General Jeep Chat" so have started a thread over there instead.
So rather than replying here I'll get you to post any responses you may have in the "General Chat" thread. Thanks. |
try the adelaide jeep club, doesnt make sense they wont let you test drive second hand stock.

I might send the president of the Adelaide Club an email but it doesn't quite seem like the right place to ask; in fact on the contact details page they actually say: Quote:

I'm in Adelaide and have a 2011 4 door CRD AUTO if you want to try a drive.
I too had issues getting a test drive and ended up "buying blind" but have no regrets at all. I did get to drive a 2 door manual diesel at adrian brian, which was secondhand, and even that was like pulling teeth! I'm in Tassie at the moment, but will be back in Adl about 2 on sunday - give me a call if you want - 0407135110 Alan |

is it because if your appearance/do you smell bad?
perhaps dress up a bit. I had no trouble with buying my last 2 new cars getting test drives. |
