Got all the info I can think of and made a little web site for you.

This is fairly simple and anyone with basic hand tools and the ability to cut a straight line will be able to make this up. The only slightly tricky bit is the tie-downs as they need welding.

Storage space
 

I made mine out of 5/8" square tubing and craft wood and outomotive carpet can be lifted in and out by one person and hold stacks right hand side now has a slide out drawer and there is a slide out shelf on both sides
Fridge is now fitted on the passenger side I have also included two small storage bins (one over each wheel arch) to hold things like tie downs lights safety vests and such all rear power runs through the fuze junction that shows on the right hand side (power delivered by 8mm wire direct from second battery via a 30 amp aircraft circuit breaker) fitted under bonnet

The frustration I had with my rear box was the rear lip where the door shuts. Which sent me down the path of lift out boxes rather than sliding drawers. Lost too much space under that lip! And in reality, the ZJ/ZJ/WJ/KJ are not "deep" enough in the back to warrant sliders.
However, I have spent lots of time lying on my tummy in the Full Size trying to retreive stuff near the rear seat! It was deep!

Rear seat if in the upright position and storage rack goes right up to cargo barrier
I went for the 35 litre Waeco fridge for the simple reason that it would fit in the way it does. just had to shorten one handle to give that little extra clearance from Tailgate window

I piffed off the handles altogether and cut some old/clean seatbelt strap. Doubled it and poked a couple of hole through with the soddering iron and screwed that on both ends with washers.
I hold my fridge down with a boat strap (as in pics) so I don't need the solid handles. A 40 lt fits very nicely without the lifting gear.!

My fridge is locked into place using some UV stabilised 1 inch nylon webbing some tensioners and S hooks at rear anchors to cargo barrier and strap on front goes from one tie down point round handle to another tie down point on frame. Fridge never moves when wheeling.
I fitted two sections of angle iron (alloy) for the right hand draw to slide on in such a way that draw just clears the trim lip at rear and my tucker box rolls on 19mm piece of craft wood it too just clears trim lip (buggar all waste space)
You are right roller draw systems Waste too much space that is why I went for slider system.

I managed to fit the 50lt Waeco no problems with front and rear handles on. I may have to take the rear off when a cargo barrier goes in though as there isn't a lot of room between it and the headrest. Even if the fridge shuffles around a little in the slider it doesn't touch anything. It doesn't really show in the picture but it is angled very slightly to follow the sahpe of the rear window a little closer. This also means when it's opened (side opening lid) it doesn't clip the tail gate.

Looking forward to your pics as I plan to convert the underneath of the false floor to draws and put the tent in a basket on the roof instead.
