TPMS Sensors

Where is the receiver for the spare tyre TPMS? I think mine has stopped working after the car has been to the smash repairers.

Cheers,

Robert

Spare tyre TPMS receiver

Hi guys,

Where is the receiver for the spare tyre TPMS? I think I have an issue after the car has been to the smash repairer.

Cheers,

Robert

Pretty sure it's part of the wireless key sensor module and is coded to the vehicle. Location is forward of the key tumbler in the steering column.

If the front wheel sensors have been replaced they will need to be coded to the vehicle using a scan tool

That's interesting.

All 4 wheel sensors are working, and I swapped the spare to confirm it's ok.

I had the rear bumper replaced and the left rear quarter repaired, I wonder if they've done something to impact the signal?

There are 3 receivers for the TPMS . One for each front tyre and a third that monitors both the rear and spare tyre.

Its located on the drivers side rear quarter just above the mud flap.

That will be it Clarky, I bet they've done something to it so it doesn't see the spare.

I've always wondered if there's a function to turn off the TPMS all together?

I understand its a great system and safety feature. Just really annoying if theres a fault with it or youre waiting for a new sensor to arrive
