Tail shaft removal Trying to get the rear diff off a wrecked chassis. Took out all eight bolts on the uni but I can’t get the tail shaft off the rear pinion.
Is the shaft splined or something? How do you get the tail shaft off the pinion? |
You can punch it from behind, it has two 10mm? holes you can get a punch into. Mine was stuck in bloody tight.

Thanks for the tip. I wouldn’t have figured that out myself. So these holes are somewhere between the eight tapped holes the bolts protrude through?
