Here's something interesting: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=2088&jsn=2204
It has the thermal bypass built in. See https://www.haydenauto.com/en/produc...y-pass-coolers |
WOW they tick all the boxes, cool video explaining how they work. I might even get one for my WG, and then I could disconnect the pipe in the bottom of the radiator. Even in Gippsland Vic it really doesnt get that cold that the transmision needs heating. A dedicated temp gauge for the trans would be worthwhile as well as the cooler, just for piece of mind.

I have a temp gauge on order already - the SAAS 52mm analogue one (OT52W) with the SAAS barbed hose adaptor for the sensor. I'm planning to put the sensor on the hot side. I have not yet decided on the gauge position. I am thinking on the right side of the dash-top near the A pillar.

Great idea, and nice white faced gauge it will look factory. The white gauges on the WG are just so easy to use and read, so good of a night time compared to black gauges.
