XJ: Jeep Ute with LS1 V8 build 1 Attachment(s)
My new project is a 98 XJ Cherokee, being cut into a Ute and getting a heart trasplant being a LS1 V8
so far it has been completly stripped it out i have moved the rear quarter window to there new location. swaped the left to the right and right to the left. once the back is on i might even change the quater window idear? will hopefully be cutting the back off this weekend and fitting the tailgate as the new back wall. Attachment 58495 this will be a slow project and i will update with pics as i go along if you want to watch this project progress or fail please follow it. Thanks Nathan |
That is awesome!!! My dream build... well i would swap the motor with a 360, 4.7 powertech or 351 cleveland.. just add full width D60s and 8 inches of lift
I can't wait to see this, what are your plans to strengthen the unibody? Sorry, I'm overly enthusiastic... I'll be starting mine a week after your success :p |
ive already put my order in at www.novak-adapt.com for the LS1 gear.
not to sure yet, im going to see where the back of the car sits first then work it out from there. might cut the whole rear floor out and bulid a bit of a chassis? i will be putting a set of wooder chassis stiffners on the front half. i was inspired by Nakkas, but mine will be manual |
Damn you for posting with so little progress - now I'll be tuning every day to see if its finished yet for the next year. :)
Keep a track of costs and time - you might get orders. |
