Hi everyone - curious n00b here

Hey guys,

I am very excited to be here, I just bought my first car ever and lo and behold - it is a Jeep Wrangler JK 2011. And. I. Love. It.

Can't wait to dive into it and start off-roading. But before I do that I need some help:
a) on maintenance and repair
b) on driving techniques - where can I learn the basics of off-road? I do not need internet tutorials but some sort of hands-on school / course here in Sydney or near it. Or how to join other enthusiasts on their off road adventures?

Thanks a lot. I already see that this Jeep will take me places with support from this forum.

Cheers :beer

Google Sydney Jeep Club...must be one ???

Yup, there is one - just paid $30 to join and $80 for annual fee. Also got enrolled in one day 4WD course with NSW 4WD association as a Jeep club member for mere $90. Thanks.

This will be a good starting point.

I also posted an ad on Airtasker to find mechanics and is going well.

Thanks for a tip, mate!

All good....WELCOME aboard....ENJOY !

ps: you may find being a club member you meet members that will be happy to help you with the 'normal' tasks instead of paying someone....its a culture....maintaining them is part of that...dont spend any of your hard earned until you've been to a club meet and asked the question...pretty sure someone will be keen to help !
