Wow that's great value. 265 x 60 x 18 is the same size as the Mickey T's I run but so much cheaper. Good luck with them. Cool tread pattern.

Yeah those rims really buggered things up, plus the bigger calipers. There's alway Sunraysia rims but looks ... Nah

My Mickey T's are nearly done so I'll be changing over to 16's soon. Really have loved the STZ Mickeys, they've done some hard yards.

Hi Kontek,
I have a 2012 KK Jet with the 20 inch rims too. The standard tyre size is 245/50R20 and I see your tyres are 265/50/20. The space in the front wheel arches is pretty tight with the stock tyre on there. Do you get any rubbing with the bigger tyre? How much will the bigger size throw out your speedo? I recently went through the process of finding new tyres for my 20 inch rims too. I ended up with Pirelli Scorpion STR A/T tyres at the standard size for $245 each fitted, aligned and balanced. I'm very happy with them. Will be interested to hear how you like these tyres as these Monsta's weren't available when I was looking. |

I’m considering the AT Terrain Grippers to replace the factory Bridgestones on my Ranger. Seen them on a few 4wd utes and they look the part. The photo is from an Isuzu Dmax. If they go well I’ll put a set on the KK too when it’s back on the road. Ozzy currently list the 265/65R17 for $200 but I’ve seen them for under $190 on Gumtree.

Pays to call around, getting them for $179 f&b.

Your experience and others I’ve read is why I’m looking at them. Apparently they’re reasonably quiet despite the aggressive tread. How would you say the mileage is going so far, kms versus wear? |

I was looking at the 265/60R18 Monsta Terrain Grippers for the wife's new 2012 KK to replace the H/T's once they wear down a bit.
At $220 per corner delivered anywhere in Aus, it is hard to beat. https://www.ozzytyres.com.au/tyres/m...errain-gripper One thing that I was wondering about was the spare wheel space underneath the rear of the KK - can you fit a tyre of this size in there? If not, what does everyone do with their spare? On my Commander you can fit a 2" larger diameter underneath by modifying the back of the tow bar and slightly deflating it and it looks to me like the KK is the same sort of deal unless I am mistaken? |
Tempe tyres have cheaper prices online but as Ozzy are the importer distributor I asked Ozzy to match the price. No hesitation at all.
As their price also includes delivery there may not be much of a saving but if you pocket $40 that can go towards F&B. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Yeah, Tempe Tyres are $25ea cheaper than Ozzy, but then charge $200 for delivery. (I am located in The Pilbara after all).
Anyone got an answer for me on the spare wheel space? Just trying to figure out if this is an issue with the larger size tyres or not. |
Quick update on these tyres, after about 30k I’ve found them to be awesome. Still has most of the tread depth, great traction on and off-road including heavy rain. Just haven’t been on sand with them yet. Before these I could easily light up the rear end on my Ranger whenever taking off with a turn. The aggressive pattern remains surprisingly quiet compared to other tyres I’ve had, even the better half hasn’t complained or even mentioned it. The price is great too, I’ll certainly be putting these on next time and the KK when needed.

Hey i am running 245/75/16 toyo M/T open country. They are the same size as 265/60/18 . The second hand Cooper i bought as spare fit underneath with the tow bar well. I do want to get a set of 265/60/18 on my 18" rims .wish I had just done that before buying the 16" hahaha but thought I would have rubbed to much . I do like the look of the Monsta tyres . As for price I like quality over price . Its good to know quality is still their with the cheaper price is some cases.thx for sharing that .I will look at them for me also
