Tick and tock.......

Here is one for the experts. My 08 JKU makes a new sound. One "clonk" when the accelerator pedal gets push down and one "clonk" when taking off the pressure from the pedal. Assume it's in the driveline could be from transmission to the differential. 4.88 regeared with rear locker lifted about 4" with stock drive shaft.....ticktock what's that sound and where could it come from?

Have you tried checking the engine and tranny mounts?

My thoughts as well. I had this problem with an old GQ Patrol. It drove me nuts trying to find it. Eventually found that the rubber on the left engine mount had split right through but was almost impossible to see with out putting a jack under the motor.

Rod.

While under your JK checking engine mounts etc, also check the CV joints in the driveshaft/s for any movement. If they are of the way out they could be tick-tocking as power comes on and off.

I had a similar sound and it must have been the front universal joints. Got it fixed under warranty and it came back with shiny new axles/unis.

My front axles are RCV's but I am suspecting it could be the rear drive shaft RZeppa CV joint. Common issue with lifted Jeeps.

However will check engine and tranny mounts as well.
