Filters WK2 Diesel

Well since I dumped my last supplier I have now found a new supplier, on Ebay, decent filters, excellent price and most important the right part numbers, very quick on postage and I was surprised in these times by Austpost delivering from 1400 Wednesday Lakes Entrance PO VIC to Rainbow Beach QLD 1400 Monday, must be a record.........

Anyway the mob is DND Auto Parts https://www.ebay.com.au/str/dndautoparts
they also have the proper filter/pans for our trannies, the ones with the deeper pan not the car version.

My parts this time included a cabin filter along with an Air, Oil and 2x fuel for $119 delivered........ Wesfill filters so good quality.... fuel filters come with the end cap and the oil is the later version........... of course like the OE stuff chinky made.

and for the chronically worried I get nothing for posting this mobs info other than helping out some other Jeepers cut costs and not get ripped off...

ive used wesfil oil filters and they pretty good although finding them is getting harder in the shops.
Used a Mopar oil filter one last change but at $70 from the dealer i think the ryco ones will do.
Just changed the fuel filters with the ryco ones. They seem pretty good as well although they use a paper type element now instead if the original material type.

Nothing wrong with RYCO filters been using them for 50 years, can honestly say I have never bought a genuine filter, ever, always too expensive no matter what vehicle I happen to be driving............. $70 for an oil filter is way over the top, Repco or Supercheap when they have the 25-30% off is the time to buy..... the Mopar stuff is chinese anyway like most of them.

I'm in furious agreement.

No probs with Ryco, and it makes no difference whether you use the high or low positioned O ring version of the oil filter either (on the 11-13's, at least). I've used both with no leaks or other issues.

Yep, the R2736P or R2737P both seem to be okay in the JGC no matter what the year, its more to do with the RAMs as there oil mount must be slightly different.....

Some pedantic ones go on about micron size but I've been doing this long enough to know its BS, the number of filter manufacturers is limited, even less than 30 years ago and using a RYCO or Wesfil filter like Penrite oil has a pretty good quality control, the number of vehicles running the things for so many, many years means they do the job..... in fact engine problems on a few brands of vehicles over the years I sometimes wonder , serviced using the genuine oil/filter/service schedule/procedure ??????

My vehicle service schedule is not the recommended, usually earlier, sometimes I go a grade higher with the oil and never genuine filters ........ 50 years no fails, at least not from that sort of thing.... But then a warranty has never influenced me either, new or 2nd hand vehicle ............... but thats a personal choice.....

Interesting comments re filters.Recently used top line Ryco in my 2014 GC SRT hemi ,non return valve failure.Been using Mann in my 2010 GC diesel, couldnt get them and Sydney filters sent Cooper Wesfil.First oil change noted these filters very distorted ie medium fins twisted .Sent a photo to SF and they said they new of this problem and that CW were not near the quality of Mann!
