Speedometer calibration Melbourne Hi
Can someone recommend a mechanic / specialist that can re-calibrate my speedo? It is not accurate against the GPS since I moved to 33" Thanks! |
You can do it yourself with one of these Hypertech 752501

I was hoping a mechanic would be able to fix that for less than the US$300 + shipping on one of these things - or is it going to cost that much?

Or a Procal, or Aeroforce Interceptor, or a Diablo programmer.
Where are you, and what model JK do you have? |
I have a JK 2013 pentastar, and I'm in the inner East of Melbourne

I have a 2013 JK with the 3.6 V6 as well. I have two sets of wheels which I regularly swap. They have different diameters so I have to recalibrate the speedo every time I swap. I use the OBD2 software "Jscan" with a Bluetooth dongle "iCar Pro Bluetooth LE" to reset the wheel size. I also play with other settings.
It works a treat and was pretty cheap. Additionally, I use Torque Pro to display useful info whilst driving. Check it out. Sent from my INE-LX2 using Tapatalk |
When I had my JK with larger tyres, I just bought a heads up display unit from 4WD Super Centre. It cost around $50 delivered and did the job.
It also has the bonus of not having to look down to read the speedo which I found to be always dark unless the lights were on. I regulary see it on the road with the new owner and he still has it fitted. |
