New Belly Plate for TJ

5 Attachment(s)
Been working on making new belly plate for my TJ. It has no body lift at present, which im trying to getaway without. I have made up a crossmember and modified the original gearbox mount to tuck up further. I will then make the skid to bolt to the crossmember. Tomorrow i will make the mount for the cross member to mount the geabox mount and finish boxing in the side arms. So wats everyone think any ideas or changes needed??????????????

might have to do something with the transfer case linkage and eng. mounts if you are moving the g/box up, the stock linkage set up is crap anyway, bin it

Fan is just hitting on shroud now so not sure to reposition shroud or lift motor up half inch or so. Is a body lift usually needed to do the motor lift? Im thinking there will be enough room to go up half inch.. The transfer still seems to shift alright even though its been takin up but that could change if i lift motor..........

easiest thing to do is reposition the fan shroud. Pretty common mod when doing a BL or MML without doing them both at the same time.

you dont need to do a BL when lifting the motor but you may encounter problems with the fan shroud. But thats easily fix.

The transfer shifter has some adjustment built into it. It will change again when you lift the motor. It may shift alright or you may getg binding. See how you go. Best mod is to remove the transfer case shifter off the body. You can get a bracket for this.
