you can get mr mdf these days

ya probably should of gone with that

mr is moisture resistant used in kitchen components, mainly substraights wich sit under stonebenchtops to support them and give them the 40 mm thick look

i used HM# chip board for mine, highly moisture resistant, they dont make HMR mdf far as i know

chip board nearl as strong as mdf if made correctly and the hmr option is a must for me being sunk in bog holes all the time

keen to see it finished mate!

I don't regret using sheet metal for mine, no moisture issues and more efficient on space...

In line with JJs do it once, do it right philosophy I went with 75mm 0awg cable for the power runs - gotta love that stuff!

Finished up lookin pretty clean I reckon...

Lookin good.
If ya don't mind me askin Creepers, what did you pay for the cable? per metre??

cheers

CreepersJeepers 14-09-2013 02:16 PM

Hi Bruggz - the 0 gauge is $14 per metre...
Distributors page is here: http://coinslot.com.au/?wpsc_product...hok-industries

75mm2 isn't 0awg by the way it is in between 00 and 000 awg, 0 awg is approx 50mm2, I like your thinking but it is serious overkill ;) can't hurt though.

Just remember if you're running a battery in the rear to fuse at both ends near the batteries....

Keep up the good work....
