Transfer Case MobilFluid 424 - Sydney Hi all,
I just picked up a drum of 20L of MobilFluid 424 to use for my transfer case NV245. This is the same fluid as Mopar Transfer Case Lubricant that I bought off the dealer last time for $43 a quart (that's not even a litre) and you need two of those. Some have also reported of getting quoted as low as $32 a quart but a quart still twice as dearer than 2L of MobilFluid. The drum looks like this: http://www.acculube-store.com/media/...lfluid-424.jpg I'm just letting you all know that if anyone needs it in Sydney, I'm willing to sell off some of it for a cost price of $15 per 2L (or 4L if you want 2L spare for the next change). Also those who are interested and don't live close by or enough close (Blacktown), as I travel around Sydney, let me know, I might be going your way and could meet up somewhere in your area to save you a trip. Basically, it's for the NV245, NV247 and NV249 transfer cases, especially if you have Quadradrive. |
Just out of curiosity Briteway, where did you buy it from ? The Mobil Oil distributor in Penrith ?
|
The Mobil guys at Penrith aren't part of the main Mobil company, they're independent and they couldn't get any.
I got it from Burson's at Blacktown. |
Ah ok, just curious cause I drive past the place often but havent been in. I bought 12qt of Mopar from Amazon a while back still have 10 left but good to know someone near me has some 424 for the future.

And if your really lucky and find a rural Mobil Distributor HQ you might find this.
