2002 Grand Cherokee Overland, 4” lift & 33’s

Asking Price: $4000
Make: Jeep
Model: WG
Year: 2002
Condition: Good
Odometer KM: 344500
Rego State: VIC

1 Attachment(s)
High KM's on the Odometer but low KM's on the driveline.
Has been my daily driver for 7 years, my only car!
Oil & filter change religiously every 8000km’s.
Any issues were always attended to immediately.

The bad: Transmission started dropping overdrive just before Xmas, still drives well but high revs at highway speed.
Clear coat gone on most of bonnet.
A couple of battle scars – This car has driven most of Victoria’s iconically, difficult tracks and rarely winched.

Why am I selling?
I rarely drive difficult tracks anymore and I just acquired a WH 3.0L CRD.
I don’t have time to change out the transmission, nor do I really want to.

$4000 is a steal for this car!
I’ll list the goodies below with a price if I was to part it out.

***Please note, I do not want to part it out. I don’t have the time nor room, but, if I had to:

4.7L HO engine, full rebuild 140K ago. (I have all receipts) Runs perfectly……………………………….$2000
2.5” exhaust, sounds great. I’m frequently asked if it’s an LS under the bonnet.
D44A rear diff with 4.56 Nitro Gears and ARB air-locker…………………………………………………………..$1500
D30 front diff with 4.56 gears and Vari-Lock………………………………………………………………………….….$800
Double cardan Driveshafts....................................... .................................................. ..$400
Factory alloys (5) with Satin Black industrial coating. (with tyres below)…………………………………$500
5 Cooper ST Max 255/85 x 16’s (33” x 10’s) – The spare is near new, the other 4 are RWC but low.
-The tyres do not rub, even at full flex and it flexes well.
4” short arm Iron Rock Offroad lift………………………………………………………………………………………....$1500
-Adjustable upper front control arms
-Fixed length lower front control arms
- Adjustable track bar
-Adjustable rear upper A-Arm
-Bilstein 5100 shocks
Power Stop HD 4WD & Towing brake upgrade.
-Akebono Calipers, drilled & slotted rotors, carbon fibre/ceramic pads.
Brown and Davis 135L fuel tank……………………………………………………………………………………………….$400
UNEEK bull bar and 10,000lb winch…………………………………………………………………………………………$1000
Roofrack with 110W solar panel.
Dual battery installation with Redarc VSR and solar input.
Onboard air: Thumper-Max hard wired (switch on centre console) with air fitting at the rear.
Rear drawer (home made) with fridge slide.
45L Evakool fridge/freezer………………………………………………………………………………………………………$400
Safari snorkel………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… ………..$200
Drivers seat recently re-padded and recovered professionally (cost $450), looks OEM.
Spare wheel well re-purposed for storage and 2nd battery. Easy access.
Oricom UHF radio, work lights on roof rack, Electric Trailer Brakes.
Interior very good condition for its age.
Plus all the luxury that comes with an Overland.

As you can see, there is over $8000 just with parts I’ve priced above and I think the prices I’ve listed are very fair.

Replaced in the last 5 years: Radiator, alternator, starter motor, air con compressor.

There is ~344K on the clock but nearly everything has been rebuilt/replaced in the recent past.
I have driven a lot of hard tracks but I drive with mechanical sympathy in mind and have always kept on top of any required maintenance. As I said, it has been my daily driver.

Fix/replace the transmission and I would drive it to Cape York or Darwin tomorrow; no hesitation.

Or buy it, take what you need and profit from the rest :)

I will keep the awnings.

I need to move this on.
I've removed the awnings, solar panel and fridge.
$4000 as is or make an offer on parts and I'll start dismantling.

Recap; 4" lift, long range fuel tank, snorkel, diffs (4.56 gears ARB locker in rear), bull bar, 4.7HO 140k since full rebuild, good interior (refurbed drivers seat), etc.

Cheers,
Ruffy.

Hi Farwest, as Classic Boy said, 5 speed 545RFE.
It appears the overdrive clutches are done.

Cheers.
