Jeep WH CRD idle issue

Hi there! Any ideas why the engine is up and down when idle? Thank you.

When mine started doing this it eventually got worse (over a year or so) and started to stall, I ended up replacing my injectors

I had over 200,000km on it though, at 135,000 I would think it shouldn't be your problem. Try running a fuel injector cleaner in a tank or two.

I'd rather start with IAC valve diagnostic

It's a diesel, it doesn't have an IAC. Idle speed is controlled by injection quantity and timing.

Does it sound like it's missing at cold idle, and then get better once it is hot?

Have you plugged in a diagnostic tool and looked through the faults?

It could be something like a faulty accelerator pedal, sending random resistance signals to the PCM. Has the floor inside the cabin been wet?
