Yeah i am really glad i did mine, too.
With the cruise control on at 100 i could pick within 100metres the places where it would have to drop back a gear on the Warrego near the crest of some hills. First time after the plug 'n play injector swap we sailed over the top of both hills without dropping back. Picks up a lot quicker, too. Puk. |

supercharged injectors? Hey xjers,
I went on ebay and saw common commodore injectors are about $150 but ones for the supercharged version were about $450. If money was no object would these be even better? Keeping in mind that a s/charger may be fitted to the xj in the future.... |
no.
have a carfull read of the first post. after the cost of a supercharger kit the bigger injectors will be chicken feed. if you have a bit of extra cash for injectors try. VR, VS AND VT SERIES 1, 5.7L V8. Bosch #0 280 156 013 (they are bright orange) these flow at around 230cc@43.5psi, Which is much closer to the stock injector flow rates, have 12ohm resistance and a nominal working pressure of 49PSi. and do report back. |
This injector upgrade sounds good. Can anyone confirm if the better spray pattern has helped with the pinging when using the lower octaine fuels??
