New Battery Required for WK2 Diesel Overland

Yes,im in need of a new battery as the dealer has my 2013 WK2 Overland. The alternator has died and jeep are going to pay half the cost to replace it as its 6 months out of warranty but the dealer is saying that the Battery needs replacing as well (probably the original Battery)
Has anybody replaced there Battery ? and with what ?
I know that it needs an AGM battery so it can handle all the electrics and it needs 850CCA minimum
interested in your thoughts........

They should be paying for it all. There should be a recall underway with the Alternators for the Diesel soon, hope so. Keep your receipts handy, some have done the changes themselves and hit ACCC and FCA, successfully claiming their expenses. The battery had probably failed due to the alternator issues going around. Google it.

had my alternator die and battery as well 25/10/17 total cost $1237
Century AGM battery $491.82
overhaul alternator $272 .73
consumables $10 Labour $350
JCA advised me to keep the receipts as a recall may well happen this year, as they said it was nearly underway in the USA for CRDs.
Hope that helps

I replaced my battery last year (MY13) when I started to have starting issues.
This is the battery I purchased.

That's the best option I have seen to date. I am keeping a close watch on the battery in our 2013 Diesel GC and had been looking at this option http://www.batteriesdirect.com.au/sh...36/9agm49.html

Hi Buffomarinus yes that is the exact battery I had planned to get until I found the ebay seller at the last minute. The ebay is slightly higher spec and a fraction cheaper.
