driving with your doors off = cops

i have had my 4dr rubi for about 8 months now an 7 of those great months ive driven with the doors off an never had a problem in "ipswich"
but on friday night got pulled up head to brisbane (STUPID BRISBANE COPS)
$200 fine $121 for a towtruck now i have asked main roads about this an they reckon if it doesnt state in your owners manual " its for off road use only" you can do so

if anyone ask's main road about it get it in writting to back this cause up
jeep driver should speak out about this

the ipswich cops have pull'd me up (rbt) with no doors, no roof, an windscreen down an all they said was "ow does this come with doors haha" then they drove away never been question about anything in ipswich :wall:

Do you have your side mirrors relocated?

so defend the fines! Go to court and get a ruling.

What did they actually fine you for any way??

Doors are only there to protect from the elements not to keep/protect occupants from impact... I have had doors off heaps on the TJ and nver got questioned...

it was a majour traffic deffect:wall:

but if i got to court about it i cant fight it due to i cant remember who it was from the department of transport i spoke to but now this time i will get written proof so if i get pulled over i have it to back me up

Yeah I reckon lack of mirrors will do you, if you fight at court I would doubt the Cops would even attend and contest, no brainer if you want to waste half to a whole day, still wont stop the cops booking you again in the future. I drove around in my BJ42 no doors no windscreen for 6 months in Adelaide and the cops only ever shook their head at me !!
