Suddenly using more fuel
 

Hi Guys,
This is my first post.

I have a 2016 built JK unlimited Rubicon (Registered in 2017)
It has Uneek front bar(with winch), Uneek4x4 rear bar(winch also) and uneek4x4 roof rack system.
Safari Snorkel(don't ask, when I bought it didn't realize aev is much better)
GME cb radio, throttle control, 2inch ome lift kit, Dynamic black steel rims on 35s. 68l aux petrol tank, custom muffler, full tow pack and red ark controller,
Spot lights and side and rear lights, diff and transmission breathers and even side grabbers in the corner of front passenger to get in easier. I may have forgotten a few other mods.....

Had my jk for 2 1/2 years now and love it but a problem has come up.

I came back for an easy run into the high country and back.
Didn't have any problems driving back home on highway that day at all. But heard a wooshing sound later that night when I was told to get eggs and milk :sad: from the shops.

Turned out that was the precursor to the pulley and belt come off.
When it happened I could barely turn the car into a park to get out of the road I was driving on.
That's not the problem though.

That got fixed by jeep under warranty.

But ever since then the car has been using way more fuel.
3 litres at least and more depending.
I have had it on dyno and had it back at jeep.
Computers say it's fine.
Talked to my mechanics I know (they're trusted, not randoms) and we don't know.

I have gone through 4 tanks testing shit out and there is no doubt is using way more fuel than it used to.
There are no changes to the car to add to the fuel cost. All the accessories were on there for at least a year prior to this

What could be some reasons that all of a sudden it's chewing the juice?

Could it be still something to do with pulleys and belt?
Or brakes/hand brake?
Sensors?

bad fuel, dirty fuel injectors?
spark plugs? tyre pressures?

What is bad fuel eco, my jkur sits about 19lts

Did the dealers update the ecu with current tyre size? Or revert size back to standard

No idea, but here's some questions that spring to mind.

Which pulley and belt?
Why did they come off?
What did they replace, what had to be disturbed to do the repair?
Is anything in the area of replacement getting unreasonably hot after a short run?

Other questions regarding software updates are good ones, just harder for you to get to the bottom of that on your own.

Was anything else done at the same time out of courtesy.

Don't want to insult your intelligence, are you doing tank to tank refills to calculate your mileage?

That is what it is running at now low.
Used to be 16.5 on the dash.

Always run 40 psi to save on fuel.
Comes up as good, tried a few tanks on 98 still same shit.
My mechanic said can't be spark plugs injectors and Jeep said the same thing.
Dyno says everything ok.

there is 46 on clock though

I will have to pull out the repair invoice but the main pulley and a smaller one were replaced plus a new serpentine belt.
Don't know why they came off though, but dust and mud may have been the culprit. being a jkur....it gets used

I asked jeep who fixed it, was there anything accidentally that they touched that caused it.
took it back for a 2nd time and they checked everything and it was fine.

Although ever since I got it, it tends to heat up to 112 degrees or 114 degrees (on trails) but always comes back down to low 100s or under.
But other than that nothing gets extra hot that I've noticed.

Tried 4 tanks and same shit, all different fuels.
98, 95, 91 and e10.

What about my rear alignment out?
Possibly my axle also out of alignment?

Going to hit up a laser alignment mob to see it that is the case.
