buying a KK Cherokee Jet, Need help Hi guys
hope some masters here can shine me some lights on buying a KK Cherokee Jet Had a look the car this weekend and the exterior looks good, but interior seems a bit trashed and for only 2 yrs old car. I really feel owner didn't take care well. some questions here 1. so far any recalls on 2012 KK Jet?? 2. rear diff cover has oil leaking mark. is that normal for a 2 yrs old car about 40,000km+?? any indication of something going wrong??? if something wrong, I assume still under warranty cover... or maybe i am wrong.. warranty not covering everything??? 3. engine has some muddy water splash marks, don't know how can muddy water get there.. any possible scenario?? is that normal??? finally, any advice on picking this particular model (MY 12 Cherokee Jet Petrol 4sp auto)??? Thank you very very much |
Hi uming, sounds like you should give that one a miss. Get a mechanic to check it out. I bought the exact same model in mint condition 2 months ago. Theres heaps out there so dont settle till your 100% happy. There Great cars however they do chew through petrol. I get 330-360 km out of a tank around town and 400-450 country driving. I put mine on gas(princ system) for $3200 best move I did. I can drive it a little heavier And still get 300+km on a $43 tank. LOVE IT
Good luck on the search |
Thank you very much for your input

buying a KK Cherokee Jet, Need help Aren't the 2012 Jets 4x2? I could be completely wrong but keep that in mind if you plan to go offroad. Agree you should keep looking as there are some fantastic used KKs listed from time to time. LPG has served me very well but some KK owners here have had difficulty, not sure why they had issues but with gas the ignition system must be in top order.

I have a 2012 Jet which is 4 x 4. Done 55k without any trouble. Changed the 20" wheels to 18". Still on original tyres. Good value for the price I paid ($36k new). I replace cars every 3 years so this time next year it will be on the market. Replace with a tug as retirement is looming!
