Nice pics Bent
Whats the story with the ZJ? |
What tyres are they MRGC?
They look quite aggressive, what's the road noise, grip and fuel economy like with them? |
Thanks Gump.
What do mean "Whats the story"? Dont make me type a 'Ive done list'. Cant type very well. Bought it stock. Now looks like that. & my passenger/partner has that look on her face every time I bring it home 'Bent'. |

Thanks for the info, i'm on the goodyear ATR's at the moment, how would you compare the two? And what sort of money are the MTR's?
|

If you are looking at buying a set 2nd hand I might be selling mine soon to make way for the 265/75/16 MTR once Ive relocated the rear shock to accomodate the for articulation. |
I'm embarassed, but it is still stock.
I do have a 3.5 inch kit on order from Wooders, and a nice Hanson bar on its way from the states (via High Country Customs) so it will be respectable soon... http://craig.4wdpics.com/j1.JPG http://craig.4wdpics.com/j2.JPG |
Don't be embarrassed.
Any Jeep is a cool Jeep. From a stock ZG to a TJ on 50's. Mine used to look like. |

Hurry up with that kit Wooders ! ;) |
I thought there would be more Grand cherokees out there, the cherokees thread is doing better send in your photos.

Nice pics guys keep them coming.
Buzz those STT what are they like offroad and on road. |

They're a soft compound tyre so they perform well onroad and in the wet but for the same reason they do wear quickly, I only expect 50k out of them but I am hard on them so others may have better results, the best solution would be to have a set of onroad tyres as well, I intend to get a set when the finance minister approves. |
I was proud of her this day. She outdid the tj behind us.

My 97 limited,
No major mods, but it does the job most of the time. |

Its all part of the plan - once the lift goes in I'll be picking up some new rubber. If good flex + tyres wont get me up it, im probably not driving on a legal track (in Sydney at least...) |
Hmmmmm, nice limited97.

WJ 03 CRD on our recent trip around Aus - the southern half.

June 2006 Not much of an action shot but all I currently had. Lucky I have a 3" lift!!

Not an action shot, but when it gets used I'm usually driving & also drive the camera too. Will have to rethink that one.....
|
The lights were only for the trip - too vulnerable and cop-enticing up there full time. I cut a length of 30mm angle bar to fit between the roof rail front mounting points, drilled some holes in it and gave it a small arch then fitted it to the original front roof rail mounting points and used a home made loom to wire it in.
the lights are Cibie oscars with 130w bulbs. It takes a little to stabilise vibration and the setup is low at rest but perfect at 100kph. (the bar moves a touch) Gave 1000m of vision plenty of roos to see but hit none. |
