Can I fit 265/65R17 Tires on stock 17" rims?

Would I be able to run 265/65R17 tires on the stock rims with little to no rubbing? My current size tires (245/70R17) which are the same diameter rub on the rear shock boots which doesn't really bother me.

I'm looking to get mud terrains tires for my next set. And most seem to be in the 265/65R17 size.

Yep got them on my WJ, no probs, although I have a mild 50mm lift. I guess muddies will be more chunky. I had Bridgestone desert duellers when I bought it. Now street tyres, that were given too me,& another set of freebies waiting to go on. It goes where everyone else goes. I don’t do mud or rocks, in WA. Just sand & more sand.

Thanks, even on the OEM rims 265 tires seem to run ok.

Same here. Will upgrade soon to 285 though but need to cut off some of the fender as well as widen the wheel arch since the tyres are bit wider than the fender.

My next set of freebies to go on 255, so while you’re getting bigger I’m getting smaller lol. But free tyres can’t be knocked back.
Can’t believe where the street tyres have taken me. The owners manual even states 235 pizza cutters as std.
