Insurance cover?

How hard can this be? I'm supposed to collect the new JKU CRD tomorrow (Friday), but do you think I can get it insured? I want to cover the bits I'll be bolting on over the next weeks (bars, winch, lift, etc), but it's all a bit too hard for most of the online quote sites.

Who do you guys use and - more importantly - recommend?

24 hours left to wait!!! :D

GIO don't need you to list any modifications so you could just call them and insure on the phone? Forget trying to do it online. In saying that I'm with NRMA as I have a few policies and get a good discount.

Cheers
Steve

Make sure u do not drive off without insurance cover on your car

I'm with QBE and there has been nothing simpler.
Five minutes on the phone at the dealer, give details, list mods and extras, done.

Yeah. I think on the phone or at the dealer might be the way to go. Shouldn't be this hard. But no way am I leaving the dealership without at least a cover note. Highly improbably anything will happen, but significant consequences if it does!:p

Youi.....they offer off-road cover and will cover listed accessories.
They will not cover you, however, if you are in a 4WD park - I guess too many people do silly things in 4WD parks, lol.
There is also a 4WD Insurance agent out there, search on the 4x4 Earth forum.....but Youi were a lot cheaper.
They have a website, but you have to contact them as they do it over the phone (recorded for contract purposes)

As above, phone up. As above, with NRMA due to multi policy discounts.

They cover all bits, as long as the vehicle is legal, without having to list them individually. Also cover you on any tracks. So if it is listed on the map you are covered. YOUI is probably the same, which would probably be why you aren't covered in 4wd parks. (Just like my bike insurance doesn't cover race tracks. Even when you are doing the course that gets you a 10% insurance discount!)
