Does The WH have A Modern DPF
 

Hello, why i am asking if the DPF is modern or not. The oil i bought is not 229.50 oil Spec. Its is 228.31 i know its the wrong spec. The oil is a 10-40 oil full synthetic for DPF vehicles, but it says not for modern DPF vehicles.So i know the wh is 10 years old with a DPF, but is a 10 year old Dpf less complex to a new DPF.
The Wh is getting on a bit so i thought would put a slightly thicker oil in it. The oil was 70 dollars for 10 liters, its not a big deal to take the oil back and get the correct spec oil. But what makes this oil not suitable.

what oils are people running for there higher km Wh Grands

As long as its not a full zinc it should be fine for your DPF.

I have tried different oils but keep coming back to Penrite.
My current choice is HPR 5 5W-40 (Full Synthetic) but it is a full zinc oil (I don't have a DPF).

I also ad some AW10 Antiwear from Cost Effective Maintenance as well.

Clarky did you take your dpf out or didn't come with one. I have the penrite in at the moment the 5w40 inviro

Zinc is a lubricant but zinc ash accumulates in the DPF
I did not have a DPF

I didn't think the WH came out with a DPF.

Might be you are looking at the Cat just off the turbo.

Yer they do have DPF it's not the cat as it has wires coming out of it.
