CJ5: 1974 rebuild about to start
 

Morning all, long time reader, first time poster etc etc.

I have 2 of these actually, one good rust free body, and chassis, very little else, the other average all round but a rust riddled body.

i plan to swap it all around and end up with one quality jeep and a collection of spare parts. Trouble is I am not very mechanically adept for the major work.

Does anyone have a recommendation of someone, a garage, mechanic etc who would be a great contact in Adelaide. I need someone who can help me either switch and engine, or help switch bodies and help with the wiring loom.

What end of Adel are you at , Ive got suggestions for nrth suburbs.
Btw, swapping bodies is pretty straight forward although it does depend on how siezed the body mount bolts are.wiring is dead easy unless its been hacked up.

Near Modbury way, so Northern Suburbs is perfect. Most of the issue is getting both jeeps in the same place with enough people etc to do the swap. It's a great drive though, like a 4.2 litre shopping trolly!
