2001 diffs in a 95?

Hi all, as the title states just wondering if they fit and any benefit/disadvantage?
Reason i ask is by the sound of it my bearings are shot in the front and i can get a hold of both a 95 (which i have) and a 2001.
The guy would rather i take the rolling shell as he doesnt want to be left with a body sitting on the ground.

They will fit straight up , would be even better if the 01 front Dana 30 was a HP ;)

Whats a HP

junglejuice 05-08-2012 06:46 PM

The 94 to around 99ish use the Hp d30 (high pinion) after that they went to the inferior Lp d30 like a Tj and a Zg uses.
They will fit and work but the Hp is the stronger diff...

Ok, so i would be better getting the 95? Do the 2001 have LSD rear as standard?

junglejuice 05-08-2012 07:01 PM

Most of them were LSD standard, some of the 95's, in particular the Limited Classic were open though..

Thanks heaps for that info, i will check his 95 and if its not lsd rear i might see if he will let me swap them over at his place then take the 95 roller
