turbo crd charge pipe keeps on popping off
 

hi everyone my charge pipe from the turbo keeps on popping off don't know why it is doing it it has happened 3 times so far it is very annoying and dangerous I make sure before I put it back on I clean off all of the oil of the pipe and turbo and I also make sure the pipe is pushed all the way down and I do the hose clamp up extremely tight maybe I need a different hose clamp that stronger

has anyone else had this problem ?

I am also using standard components

You need a new clamp. Get one of the temperature self-adjusting clamps. http://www.turbohoses.com/Clamp.htm this is only really needed on the turbo outlet.

You should be able to get them from any good nut and bolt/marine fitting shop.

yeah that's what I was thinking about doing the standard clamp isn't very good
anyone know what size pipe I'm talking about the turbo outlet clamp ?

from memory it is 40/50mm.

You'd be best taking it off and checking. The size will be etched into it.
