1981 fsj J10
 

Been looking at one of these recently (not the later cj10) project truck for $10,000 plus about $2,000 transport. New paint, some rust to cut out, bit of trim, electrical work, engineer certification etc say $8,000. So in total around $20,000, is it worth doing or anyone know what a good one would be worth. Has reco'd engine & auto gearbox & stepside (thriftside?) tub.

Located in Perth? Recently had someone look at it for me, they may chime in here but general opinion is its not worth that kind of money, maybe $6k?

Not sure where you're at with this but I see it's still on gumtree. It does look good in pix but floors are bad and paint around the door openings looks woeful. Worst thing is the Stepside tub is home made, not original.
