Double Island Point Dayout Had a great day up at Double Island Point Saturday, sand was really soft lots of 4x4 bogged blocking the entrance on and off the beach. Jeep made it no problems however even with a lift was still dragging sand underneath.
Only issue I have is I now have like a scrapping noise in suspension drivers side when I bounce around a bit. Gave it a good hosing down and sprayed some Inox Lanolin Lubricant. No noise on normal road conditions need to test off road perhaps a bit too much sand underneath.http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...0cb29ab713.jpg |
Always nice to get up that way. My KJ has never been bogged there. Closest I got was when towing the Jayco Dove Outback and had to go up the down ramp due to everyone chewing out the sand at the base of the ramp. They are great sand machines. Though I swear there'll still be sand in that engine bay and other places from the first time it went on the beach, it just gets in everywhere! :)

That's a great looking KJ (very tidy). I am planning to get to Double Island one of these days.
