MY info I have a 2017 GC Laredo; build date March 2017, first reg Sep '17.
The dealer's sales papers say it is a MY18, but just wondering if this is correct? How to differentiate between MY17 & MY18? |
Put your vin into build sheet link.https://www.farkistan.org/votsws.php...y6PemjGrXdbMGo

If it's a 17 character VIN as on earlier Jeeps the 10th digit of the VIN is the last digit of the model year, eg. 7=2017, 8=2018.
I don't know if like TJs early or late models can have features/wiring differences, where things are used up from previous model years, or introduced early when older parts run out. |

No specific detail as to the Model Year, but as it's early 2017 I guess it's MY17 And the last number of the VIN is not related. The last section of the VIN number is also the engine number! |
At the top of the build sheet it will say what year it is. Normally if built after August it will be classed as the next year model.

Maybe you should be asking the dealer for part refund for selling you a 2017 as a 2018. As its on the sales contract as a 2018 thats what you should have been sold.

Type your VIN into this Jeep decoder. It will tell you the build date and model year.
