TJ Wrangler driving on front diff only

TJ Wrangler driving on front diff only

Hello got a SYE kit & tailshaft from Morris 4x4 tailshaft is about 75mm to long

So I need to take it to tailshaft modification experts about 20km away city driving

Does anyone know any issues I might suffer if I drove in 4wd so the from Dana 30 was pulling me instead of the Dana 44 pushing

Or reason not to drive with Dana 30 only

There r no oil leaking issues as the transfer case now has a yoke shaft

Many thanks

I've done this, when I was diagnosing issues with a bent output shaft.
I drove more than 20K on local and freeway. Nothing suffered as a consequence.

I did give it some thought, but there's really no difference to the drivetrain.
Ok if you gave it extreme load you are putting 100% through the front which it might not be designed to do. Just driving normally on the road, nothing to worry about.

Just mulling over the original SYE point of your post.
Probably a dumb question, just...

Assuming you have done the transfer case output shaft swap already and now you want to modify the shaft?

I did the SYE kit on mine, the new output shaft is shorter that the original and changes the required length of the tail shaft. Didn't want you to be modifying the new kit before you do the transfer case part.
Mine was a good fit, but the seller wanted measurements of the existing parts and intended lift before shipping.
