new lift Hark, there is movement at the station, for the word has passed around that my boy is going to fit a lift to his 2000 XJ from 7.30 in the morning. I've been crook these last 2 months and its knocked me about a little bit(old dude) and he's expecting help. :( Hopefully we wont have too many dramas, I bought a 3000kg trolley jack, and we have a rattle gun, so let the fun begin.

Easy job.
Just do 1 corner at a time. Make sure he chocks the wheels. Dont get under with only the jack holding it up! |
A small lift is usually never a drama.
Start going over 2” and you open a can of worms. Have fun and enjoy the time with your boy. I’ve got my lad helping me on his sisters GC all the time now. Cheers, |
Done a lift and SYE solo in a day in the driveway before on an XJ. Just do it all in the right order all will all be sweet.

I must be on a different planet. Two full days its taken, all done bar the tranny drop due to 2 bolts and 2 studs and they supply 4 bolts. Every bolt fought to be undone. I could go on and on but we got it done and no vibes.
