Jeep WK2 3L Diesel fuel pressure issue

Has anyone had a fuel pressure problem with their VM Diesel?
On the way back from Bowen a couple of weeks ago I had the KMs to go reading showing 156km, and gauge showing just under a 1/4 tank.

The Jeep out of nowhere sputtered and coughed and acted like it had run out of fuel...along with a few warning lights coming up. Being on the Highway in 110kmh zone I quickly put it in neutral with an indicator on to coast to a safer place to pull up as there was no go at all.

Pulled up off the side of the road, would not start, just cranked over. I took a punt that it could be fuel, so got 20 litres and put it in.
It then primed and started...so i drove to a Servo 10k further down the road and topped up. It only took 76 litres. Given I had just put 20 in that indicated there should have been maybe around 25 odd litres still in it.
I had run it down to almost nothing prior to check that the gauge was reasonably accurate so it wasn't a gauge problem imo.

I ran my OBD reader at the time and got a few new new codes, including; P0087 which reads as Fuel rail system pressure too low bank 1, which could be a faulty fuel pump, blocked fuel filter or a fuel pressure sensor, along with P016F Closed loop Fuel pressure control at limit - pressure too low.
Fair enough as it had plainly ran out of fuel pressure...
I had changed the filters before the trip some 2000k's ago so they were fine.

Since filling up a couple more times, driving and clearing the codes again, I still get these same codes.

Since then i haven't let the tank go down much below half and it hasn't done it again.
Has anyone experienced this? If so what was the remedy?

I am heading down to 7 Slot tomorrow for their opinion anyway.

Thanks in advance...

What brand filters did you fit?

I had Coopers in there but took out a mortgage when i got back and went and bought a couple of genuine Mopar filters to see if they did anything...they didn't.

i in fact don't know what recalls have been done on this car. I have looked at a couple of web sites that allow VIN numbers to be entered for info on which upgrades / recalls have been done. Being I have only had this Jeep for a couple of months and it's my first ever diesel, I am still feeling my way with it mechanically.

I'd like to know more about the fuel pump relay recall and the upgrade you mention to a Narva unit. I haven't seen much on the Net to describe symptoms leading to that recall.

I am taking the car to a Jeep specialist today Seven Slot who are not Dealers but specialise in jeeps. I don't think they have any proprietary diagnostic equipment but I am hoping for some good old hands on experience coupled with their take on the OBD codes I am getting.
This is the 6th Jeep I have owned so these little dramas don't really faze me...just want to sort it out.

I'll post later today after I have these guys give me their thoughts...

Cheers

Just had another look for the "RO9" recall for faulty relays. It only apparently affected 2012-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured September 17, 2010, to August 19, 2013, and equipped with a 3.6, 5.7 or 6.4 liter engine.
I recall doing a VIN search a couple of weeks ago and my VIN wasn't listed as being affected being 6/14 build and a diesel.

I'll post later with any new findings...
Cheers

Also VIN searched for recall REC-000739 for V62 update issued 4/2/21for 2014 - 2021 years...my VIN isn't there either...
