Main issue is trying to get the fm/am radio working on a new aftermarket install

The cream and olive plugs are radio am and fm aerials, the blue i think is the gps.
not sure about the black and grey plugs.

No its not, that is solved.

For any body following up this thread in the future. It was the cream connector foir this particular head unit, which line up with what the yanks where saying. It was not hte blue one in my case which others where telling me (prob different head unit or year).

Mine was a 2015 Laredo (No sat nav or reverse cam).

Also be aware it is a powered connector which needs a small amount of current to activate the amp in it. (~40mA). THis connector worked well for me - Aerpro APA59 (yes it says audi - but it has the same connection and it needs the 12v input to activate the antenna amp.)

But its all working and all upgrade.

Cheers

Man, I wish i'd checked back after reinstalling it and testing it out. You are right about the cream plug :) I tested it by reinstalling and disconnecting.

Thanks mate :)

Interesting, I did post about needing to power the booster via the lead but mustn't have hit the post button properly .......... no way I'm pulling the dash apart though if mine dies it stays dead.

Hey Everyone, Just while on the topic of Head units and coax cables.

I found this thread on Jeep Garage.

https://www.jeepgarage.org/threads/a....77596/page-14

It's for activating the DAB Radio on the older model Jeep GC's.

I bought the DAB ANtenna, fitted it and then tweaked the head unit.
Now I have DAB and loving it.

We should create a thread on Aussie Jeep Offroad about this.

Unless there is one already that I can't find ??

Cheers

Robbo
