Rear storage torch

Hi
I have found what appears to be a torch on the LH side of my luggage area which is plugged in to what appears to be a charging point
I have managed to open the "torch and there is provision for batteries
Can anyone offer advice on what batteries are needed

My 2012 overland has one of these. It charges off the vehicle and it's incredibly weak.

I looked into replacing the battery and/or the whole torch, but to be honest it was a rubbish torch to begin with.

Battery swap vid here:

I ended up pulling out the torch and cradle and putting in usb/cig/voltmeter outlets connected to my second battery. I've been keeping an eye out for a good "car torch" on sale, though I do have my trusty 15yo ARB 12v light in the toolbag.
